The department conducts expert risk assessments related to the circulation of chemical products in order to protect public health and the environment. This includes analyzing the compliance of safety data sheets with the legislative requirements of the Republic of Kazakhstan, followed by the preparation of recommendations regarding the possibility of product registration or the issuance of non-compliance statements. 

 

  

 

 

 

Main Areas of Activity 

  • Expert Review of Safety Data Sheets for Chemical Products: Conducting analyses to ensure compliance with the legislative requirements of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In cases of violations, incomplete, or inaccurate information, issuing non-compliance reports. If the documentation complies with requirements, preparing recommendations for product registration.
  • Participation in the Implementation of Standards and Technical Regulations: Contributing to the development and implementation of standards and technical regulations in the field of chemical product safety aimed at enhancing the protection of human health and the environment.
  • Database Management and Documentation Handling: Developing and maintaining a database, organizing, and archiving documentation related to the safety of chemical products.
  • Educational and Advisory Activities: Organizing training sessions, seminars, and consultations for representatives of industrial enterprises on proper safety data sheet preparation.
  • Document Flow Management: Transferring expert materials and accompanying documentation to relevant departments and to the archive.

  

List of Services Provided

  • Expert review of safety data sheets (SDS) for chemical products for compliance with the legislative requirements of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
  • Preparation of non-compliance reports for SDS that do not meet established standards, along with recommendations to deny product registration.
  • Preparation of recommendations for chemical product registration in cases of full compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Advisory support for applicants regarding the proper preparation and submission of safety data sheets.
  • Organization and delivery of training sessions and seminars for representatives of industrial enterprises on SDS preparation.
  • Methodological support for the implementation of standards and technical regulations in the field of chemical product safety.
  • Maintenance and updating of the database containing safety data sheets and related documentation.
