Institute of Geology and Economics of Mineral Raw Materials

About the Institute

The branch of the RSE "National Center for Comprehensive Processing of Mineral Raw Materials of the Republic of Kazakhstan" – Institute of Geology and Mineral Resource Economics (the Institute) was first registered with the justice authorities of the Republic of Kazakhstan on November 1, 2011, in agreement with the Committee of State Property and Privatization of the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The Institute is a separate structural subdivision of the RSE "NCCPM RК" (Charter of NCCPM) and performs part of its functions, including representative functions.

The purpose of establishing the Institute is to conduct applied scientific research in the field of geology and mineral resource exploration – from forecasting to prospecting, discovering deposits, and their economic evaluation.

History

The Institute was established in 2011 and has since its foundation performed the functions of a scientific subdivision of the NCCPM RК in the field of geo-economic research and forecasting of Kazakhstan's mineral resource base.

Mission and Goals of the Branch

The primary mission of the Institute is the scientific and technical support of Kazakhstan's geological exploration sector, the development of fundamental and applied research, as well as creating conditions for the rational use of the country's mineral resource base.

• Expertise and conclusions on the metallurgical value of raw materials;
• Analysis of industry information for forming state orders for R&D.
