About the Department
The Department for Coordination of Scientific and Technical Programs and Projects is responsible for organizing, supporting, and monitoring the implementation of research and development (R&D) projects, as well as for developing and executing state and sectoral scientific and technical programs. The main task of the department is to ensure effective interaction between the Center, its branches, and partners, promote innovation and commercialization of scientific developments, and enhance the competitiveness of products to meet international standards.
Main Areas of Activity
- Participation of the Center and its branches in competitions and tenders for the execution of government contracts.
- Development of budget projects for scientific and technical programs (STP).
- Formation and support of grant-based, program-targeted funding projects, commercialization projects, and other government and sectoral scientific and technical programs.
- Coordination of scientific research activities of the scientific departments, branches of the Center, and other co-executors of scientific and technical programs.
- Preparation of reporting materials on scientific research activities, execution of programs and projects, for State Scientific and Technical Expertise (SSTE).
- Support for patent and licensing activities.
- Collaboration with the Committee for Industry of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan (preparation of justifications and conclusions for assessing the technological and innovative aspects of subsoil users' projects).
- Determining the demand and priority of R&D in accordance with the development plans of the mining and metallurgical enterprises (MME) and modern requirements to improve product quality to international standards.
- Development of key tasks and indicators for scientific and technical programs.
- Analysis of results obtained during the implementation of STP, adjustment of work plans.
- Formulation of proposals for identifying areas of application for R&D results.
